Marilyn Elizabeth "Tee" Brumfield, 73, of Long Beach, died on Thursday, December 8, 2016 (the Feast of the Immaculate Conception), and was ushered from Gulfport by angels into the company of Jesus. Her love remains with Centreville, Mississippi, where she was born, and Gloster, Mississippi, where she was raised; Bay St. Louis and Waveland, Mississippi, and Rohnert Park, California, where she lived before Katrina; and Picayune, Gulfport, and Long Beach, Mississippi, where she lived after Katrina.
She was employed in several clerical positions during her working years, first at Hancock Medical, and then for 13 years at Coast Electric Power Association. You might have also met her if you were a customer of Jack's Restaurant on Coleman Avenue in Waveland, long before Katrina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin E. Brumfield, Sr., and Mary Elverdie Mauffray Brumfield.
Survivors include her only sibling, cherished brother Marvin E. Brumfield, Jr., and his wife, Virginia (Ginger), and their four children, Kevin, Sharon, Kristie, and Candace; numerous great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends, including lifelong friend Martha L. van Peski; and, a beloved little dog named Pebbles.
The memorial service will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
