Marion Janice Denton Garofalo, 77, passed from this life on February 17, 2022. She was born June 16, 1944 in Mobile, AL.
To those that knew her she was Janice, Aunt Jan, Mom, Grandma and Mawmaw. She loved watching her great-grandsons play baseball, large family gatherings, all things Harry Potter, and movie classics - especially westerns.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Garofalo; parents, Roy and Mary Denton; brother, Roy “Denny” Denton; and sister, Mary Juanita Trusler.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (R. Kelly) Boyd; son, Donald R. Barnum; stepsons, Mark (Lynn) Garofalo, Randal (Christina) Garofalo; grandchildren, James Fortier, Corey Fortier-Schloss (Justin Noble), Stephen (Katie) Garofalo, Ryan Garofalo, Kevin (Christian) Boyd and Kyle Boyd; great-grandchildren, Donald W. Schloss Jr., Alaina Garofalo, Luca Garofalo, Nickilos Noble, Makayla Noble and Jared Noble; sisters, Parma “Pam” Trusler and Constance “Connie” (Gary) Hill; and brother, Joseph Denton; aunt, LuAnne Smith; uncle, Evans (Yvonne) Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
At their request, Janice and Ralph will be interred together honoring both of them on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS. Family and friends are invited to gather at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi at 10:15 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Project.
