Mrs. Marjorie Mae Hooper Rust, age 82, formerly of Jackson, MS., died in Gulfport, Friday, January 22, 2010. Mrs. Rust was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Allen Rust, Jr. of Jackson, MS., son, David Lamar Rust, parents, Charles and Ella Mae (Bonvillain) Hooper of New Orleans, LA., two brothers, Charles Hooper, Jr. and Larry Hooper, and one sister, Marie Russell. She is survived by a sister, Moonyeen Hooper of Metairie, LA., three children, Gene Rust, wife Patty, of Vicksburg, MS., Cynthia Pringle of Gulfport, MS., and Woody Rust, wife, Cilina of Oakhurst, CA., seven grandchildren, Jessica Janotta, Sarah Maruszak, Chase Owen, Emileigh Ellis, Jennifer Hunt, Lauren Rust, and Nicole Baker, nine great-grandchildren, Dylan Lick, Emileigh Janotta, Haley Owen, Grace Owen, Anabelle Jordan, Marleigh Ellis, Sam Baker, Nate Baker, and Mason Bissmeyer. A family memorial service will be held at a later date in Lake Charles, LA., with burial at Ritchie Cemetery, Moss Bluff, LA. In memory of Mrs. Rust, the family would request donations be made to the Susan G. Komen for the cure at P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.
