Our beautiful and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marjorie Stratton Williams, age 61, of Ocean Springs, gained her wings on Monday, July 1, 2019 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.
She was an inspiration to so many people that she came into contact with. Margie successfully fought and won the battle of addiction and went on to help many others with their fight. Her dedication to all of those that are battling this disease has been recognized by the establishment of the Margorie Williams Foundation, an effort to help others with addiction recovery. Even while she was fighting so hard in her battle with cancer, she was a rock of support and an avid champion to anyone that was struggling with battles. Her strength came from her faith in Jesus Christ and she was quick to tell everyone that she had made her peace with God and that she knew without a shadow of doubt that she had a mansion in the sky filled with loved ones that had gone before her.
Margie leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved children, Lindsey Porter (Tim Rose) and Ashley Porter (Jason Kitchens) and her loving grandsons, Gabe and Gavin Knight, Payton Porter and Devin Rose, Ashton Hand, and her precious granddaughter, Jasley. She also leaves one sister, Donna Kay (Ron) Farris of Texas, two brothers, Joe (Mary) Stratton and Darrel (Sue) Stratton, both of Florida and several nieces and nephews, along with many, many lifelong friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sam Stratton of Arizona and Margorie Karen Shaul of Ocean Springs.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00, all at CenterPoint Church on Highway 57, South, Ocean Springs.
