Marjorie York

Marjorie York, age 81, of D’Iberville, MS, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Margie was born on August 22, 1941 in Ellisville, MS, but lived on the coast most of her life.  She graduated from Biloxi High School and was employed with the Biloxi School System for 29 years and finishing her time teaching at St. Alphonsus Elementary School in Ocean Springs, MS.  She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Lynn Starks; and brother, Polie Daniel Ainsworth.

Survivors include her husband, David York; son, Samuel Patrick Starks, III; grandchildren, Samuel Patrick Starks, IV, Alison Starks, James Sewell; and sister, Mary Faye Murphy.

A Memorial Service will be held from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Ave.   Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Marjorie York.
