Mark Wayne Prevost

Mr. Mark W. Prevost, 44, of Vancleave, MS, went to the Lord on August 7, 2009. Mark was born July 31, 1965, to Gary and Tina Prevost of Vancleave. He was raised in Vancleave and graduated from Vancleave High School in 1983. Upon graduation he went to work for Specialty Contractors where he learned several construction trades. After leaving in 1997 he opened Prevost Stucco where he was known as "The Stucco Man". Mark's zest for life was apparent in everything he did; dancing to the Oldies, listening to his music and recently teaching his grandchild the love of God and the art of gardening. He will be remembered for many adventures; crabbing and fishing on Saturday mornings with Sabrina, Marcus, Dallas and Dylan, camping on Black Creek with his family, standing by the fire waiting for his oysters to open during the first hunt of the season, and mulleting with his father and brother all night just to come home and have his mom cook fresh fried fish. He will also be remembered for his new hobby of woodworking. Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Margie Davis; and his paternal grandparents, Oswald and Juliet Prevost. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Tina Prevost; one sister, Vickie (Bobby) Tiblier; two nieces, Lindsey and Raegan Tiblier; one brother, Greg (Tonya) Prevost; three nephews, David, Keith and Kevin Prevost, all of Vancleave. he is also survived by his children and step-children, Sabrina (Jason Davis) Prevost, Marcus Prevost, Derek Flowers, Dallas Davis and Dylan Davis; and his most precious survivor, his only grandchild, Hayleigh M. Prevost-Davis He will be missed by Ernestine Murphy (the mother of his children) who holds a special place in her heart for him. There will be a void in the life of Annette Agregaard his friend and soul mate. Mark is at peace and will not be forgotten by his aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is Tuesday, August 11, 2009, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Funeral services will be Wednesday in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Bonnie Chapel Cemetery.
