Marlene Troney

Marlene Troney, age 64, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Ocean Springs Hospital.

Marlene was born on September 4, 1957, in Lynn Haven (Tyndall Air Force Base), Florida, to Billy Joe and Louise Griffin. She graduated from St. Martin High School. Marlene was employed as an Optical technician at Kern Optical for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and watching the New Orleans Saints football games.

Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Anthony Troney; father, Billy Joe Griffin; and brother, Ernest K. Griffin. She is survived by her mother, Louise Griffin; son, Brian M. Gerych (Loren); grandson, Hilton B. Gerych; granddaughters, Natalie and Macy Hall; siblings, Cassandra Creech (Scott) and Joel M. Griffin; dog, Bella; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit an hour prior. Interment will be at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
