Martha Ellen Nicholson

Mrs. Martha Ellen Nicholson, 60, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in Cape Coral, Florida. Mrs. Nicholson was born April 15, 1948 in Scottsburg, Indiana to Elmer Eugene and Martha McDaniel Hall. She had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1979. She married William Earl Nicholson July 1, 1967 and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone. She retired from Ocean Springs Hospital where she worked in the hospital cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her husband, William E. Nicholson of Ocean Springs; two daughters, Christina Patterson and her husband, James, of Mobile, AL, and Rebecca Nicholson Gayle of Ocean Springs; three sisters, Myrna Lynch of Lexington, IN, Marie Shepherd and Gail Newby, both of Charlestown, IN, a brother, Elmer R. Hall of Lexington, IN; and she had three grandchildren. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour before service time.
