Martha Williams Kopszywa, age 68, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, July 16, 2007, in Ocean Springs.
Martha was born and raised in Ocean Springs and had been a resident of Ocean Springs for over 25 years after her husband, Frank, retired from the Coast Guard. Martha and Frank spent the majority of their years together traveling after Frank entered the Coast Guard in 1953. Her life was spent supporting her husband while he pursued his military career and raising their four children together. They made many friends in their travels living in New York City, Connecticut, Hawaii and New Orleans to name a few. Martha will be missed by her family and her many friends that she kept in touch with.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Kopszywa, Jr., her mother, Irma "Sis" Williams and her father, Clarence L. Williams.
Survivors include her daughters, Anna Marie (Harry) Lohr of Asan, Guam, and Kathy Lorraine (Keith) Cassidy of Vancleave, MS., sons, Frank E. Kopszywa II and Gary L. Kopszywa, sisters, Charlotte Williams, Irma Mabrey, Janie Lunceford, brothers, Harry Williams, Freddie Williams, and Stevie Williams, nephews, Jay (Tracye) Mabrey, Jr., Button Pons, Danny Williams, Wayne (Charlotte) Hennig, Aaron Williams and Stevie Williams, Jr., granddaughters, Kelly Ann Kenniff, Lilah Moran, Crystal Moran, Alyse Kopszywa, Angela Kopszywa, and grandsons, Jeffrey Kopszywa, Ryan Kenniff, Damien Skrmetta, Robert Cassidy and Byron K. Cassidy, Jr.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 20, 2007, from 10 AM - 12 Noon, with a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial all at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Cassidy, Jay Mabrey, Joey Hubal, Ryan Kenniff, Jason Knewasser, and Donald "Tiger" Stokes.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
