Martha Xidis Dedicos, age 85, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in Gulfport. She was born in Montgomery, AL and had been a resident of Gulfport for most of her life. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Biloxi. She was a former member of the Memorial Hospital at Gulfport Auxiliary, member of Prima Donna's Singing Group, the Gulf Coast Needle Art Guild, and MS Coast Needle Point Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Marguerite Xidis, founders of Angelo's Restaurant, West Beach, Gulfport.
Mrs. Dedicos is survived by her husband of 63 years, Andrew Dedicos of Gulfport; a daughter, Andrea McGill of Gulfport; a son, Doug Dedicos and his wife, Robin of Bradenton, FL; six grandchildren, Tray Carter, Randy White, Caleb White, Duffy Bisconti, Amber Ardesson, and Timothy McGill; a great granddaughter, Kayla Carter and nine other great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
