Lt. Col. Marvin E. Dougharty, Jr., Retired U. S. Air Force, 72, of Biloxi, MS died Thursday, June 9, 2011, in Biloxi.
Marvin was born in Crosby, Texas on August 29, 1938. He honorably served in the U. S. Air Force for 23 years. He had been a resident of Biloxi since 1983 after retiring from the military.
Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Marvin E. Dougharty, Sr., mother, Frances Allen Hallmark and sister, Larua McBride. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gena Field Dougharty; two sons, Terrell M. (Sue) Dougharty of Saucier, and Brian Keith Dougharty of Biloxi; step-son, James E. Martin of Ocean Springs; two granddaughters, Hannah Caitlin Dougharty and Retta Grace Dougharty; grandsons, J. D. Martin, Andrew Martin and Jamey Hill; brother-in-law, John H. Field of Biloxi; and sister-in-law, Carla M. Field of Atlanta. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
