Mrs. Mary Agnes Simmons, 85, of Biloxi, MS, died Monday, March 20, 2006, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Simmons was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Woolmarket and St. Marys Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Golden Age Senior Citizens and the Fleur de Lis Society Auxiliary.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Simmons; a daughter, Lucy Cynthia Hinton; a son, Destry Simmons; parents, Polycard and Laurence Hebert Lonson; a brother, Rivers Lonson, and a sister, Inez Winterstein.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Ann Dawkins and her husband, Michael, of Ocean Springs, and Rhona Marie Wheeler and her husband, Buster, of Biloxi; one son, Joseph Keith Simmons and his wife, Tessie, of Biloxi; a sister, Edna Mae Ladnier, of Ocean Springs; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2006, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Woolmarket at 10 a.m. where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Swetman Cemetery.
