Mary Antionette Blackmon

Mary A. "Dieu" Blackmon, 86, of D'Iberville, died Monday, June 4, 2007 in Ocean Springs. Mary was born in Gueydan, LA., a lifelong resident of the coast. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also a member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary. Mary was predceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Frank Blackmon, her parents, Septien Wiltz and Andrea Dugas, two brothers, Alphonse Wiltz and Toby Wiltz.. Survivors include two sons, Arnold Blackmon and his wife, Toni Rae, of Ocean Springs, Mark Blackmon and his wife, Frances of D'Iberville, one sister, Mary Evelyn Clemens of Amory, MS and five grandchildren, Scott Blackmon and his wife, Valerie, Timmy Blackmon and his wife, Gaye Dawn Erhardt and her husband, Robert, Kim Stringer and her husband, John and Kellie Blackmon. Survivors also include nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family would like to thank the staffs of the Ocean Springs Nursing Center and Trinity Hospice for their professionalism and loving care showed to their mother. Visitation is on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour before service.
