Mrs. Mary "Dot" Charles, 76, of D'Iberville, MS, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, while doing what she loved, vacationing, in Plantation, Florida.
Mrs. Charles was a native of Biloxi and a lifelong resident of the coast. She was the owner/operator of a day care facility and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don E. Charles, Sr. and her parents, Sidney E. and Lucy Sonnier Lamas.
Survivors include two dauthers, Brenda Giese of N. Biloxi and Mary I. Charles of Pensacola, FL; two sons, Don E. Charles, Jr., of Vancleave and George E. Charles of Perkinston; one sister, Christina "Teenie" Lamas of D'Iberville; a brother, Sidney E. Lamas, Jr., of Vancleave; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation is Sunday, June 26, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Brandford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi with a 6:30 p.m. Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
