Mary Elizabeth Allen

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Allen, age 81, of Biloxi, MS., died Saturday, December 17, 2005, in Biloxi. Mrs. Allen was a lifelong resident of the community. She was active and faithful in the Back Bay Mission and the Christus Victor Lutheran church. She was also active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her daughter, Lee Anna Tesch, son, Elmer Allen, and her parents, Hamp and Angele Carroll. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Overton A. Allen, son, Paul Allen and wife, Mary, all of Biloxi, two sisters, Vivian Carroll and Otlia Rosemurphy, both of Biloxi, two brothers, Peter Carroll of Torrance, CA., and Preston Carroll of Quincy, MA., eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM, with a 9:30 AM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS., 39507.
