Mary Ellen Creel Davis

Mary Ellen Creel Davis, 80, of Gulfport, MS died Sunday, October 18, 2009. Mrs. Davis was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of the Coast since 2005. She was a member of St. James Major Catholic Church in New Orleans. She was an avid Saints fan and bowler. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Julia Creel; grandson, Zachary; brothers, William, Earl, Albert and Harold Creel; sister, Mildred Songy. She is survived by her husband, Russell J. Davis; sons, Barry Paul (Norma) Davis, Michael Stephen (Jennifer) Davis, Sean G. (Debbie); brother, Jules "Buck" (Marcel) Creel; brother-in-law, Louis Davis, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Barry, Timothy, Emily, Kenneth, Lauren, Daniel, Tracey and 5 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in New Orleans. The family extends their thanks to the Hospice of Light for their loving care of Mrs. Davis.
