Mary Ellen Fero

Mary Ellen Fero, 88 of Vancleave, MS passed away on December 15, 2024.

She was born on July 9, 1936 in Ocean Springs, MS. She was a lifelong member of the Coast and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, O.S. where she was very involved. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of The Knights of Columbus Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Fero; parents, Thomas and Marie Mathieu; son, Thomas Fero; and sister, Anne Tarazano.

She is survived by her daughters, Maria Cherota, Constance Fero, and Juliette (Steve) Marting; sons, Joseph P. Fero and Christopher Jude (Edwina) Fero; sister, Frances Venus; grandchildren, Kristen Previto, Anthony Previto, and Jennifer Fero; and great-grandchild, Birdie Riley.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Bellande Cemetery, O.S.
