Mary Jane Harrison

Mary Jane Harrison, 87, of Biloxi, MS passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Biloxi. Mrs. Harrison was born October 11, 1930 in Picayune, MS to A.J. and Mary Read. She attended MS Women’s University and worked for the Biloxi Public Schools System. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and D.A.R. She enjoyed Square Dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude H. Harrison; her parents; her granddaughter, Amber Massey; her great-grandson, Harrison Smith; and her brother, Dr. Richard N. Read. Mrs. Harrison’s survivors include her children, Jack (Maria) Harrison, Missy Massey and Debbie Boswell; her grandchildren, Rachel Harrison (David) Woodard, Shelby Boswell and Haley (Cody) Smith; her great-grandchildren, Ella Grace Woodard and Kimi Smith; her sister, Gerry Samples; and her sister-in-law, Jean Read. Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm followed by a 1:30 pm graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery.
