Mary Jane Houtz

Mrs. Mary Jane Houtz, age 89, of Chambersburg, PA., formerly of Clearfield, PA., died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, in Ocean Springs, MS. Mrs. Houtz was a resident of the community for thirteen months. She graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1934 and from the Chambersburg Business College. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Clearfield, PA., member of the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club, Order of the Eastern Star, and Secretary-Treasurer of Houtz Motors. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clifton Houtz, her parents, Wesley and Carrie Stake, three sisters, Julia Stake, Edna Rowe, and Ruth Eppinger, four brothers, Gerald Stake, Wayne Stake, James Stake, and Nelson Stake. Mrs. Houtz is survived by a daughter, Debora Brown, and husband, Kurtis, of Biloxi, MS., one sister, Lucille Miller, of Chambersburg, PA., and numerous nieces and nephews.
