Mary Ann Kisner

Heaven has gained the voice of an angel. Mary Ann Kisner, age 72, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024.

Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. Known for her beautiful and powerful singing, she was the vocalist for many churches, including St. Michael Catholic Church and Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church. She was an avid Bingo player, who enjoyed her bingo trinkets atop her bingo cards. She also loved to sing, every chance she got. 

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Louise Stevenson; her father and mother-in-law, Earl and Thelma Kisner; siblings, Alvin Stevenson Jr., Leona Benfield and Sharon Fayard; nephews, John Douglas Fayard and "Little John" Richard St. Amant, Jr.; brothers-in-law, her "Sweetie" John R. St. Amant, Sr., Luther Gary Fayard, Sr., Jimmie Fayard, Sr. and James O’Neil; brother-in-law, Jack Kisner; and sisters-in-law, Betty Bobinger and Abigail Young.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Kisner, who is in every sense of the word her soul mate, sharing a life of love, laughter, and unwavering support; her children, Ann W. Beeker, Melissa D. McLean, Michelle R. (James) Moore and Shana K. (Anthony) Strong; her grandchildren, Bailey McLean, Jordan Beeker, Evan Moore, Landon Strong, Wyatt Strong and Drew Moore; her sisters, Lou Anna St. Amant, Melanie (David) Hutchens, Julie O'Neil and Johnnie Fayard; brother-in-law, Albert Kisner; sister-in-law, Thelma Viator; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until Mass time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church.
