Mary Lou Kopp

Mrs. Mary Lou Kopp, age 70, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 after a brief illness.

Mary Lou was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1969. She retired from Keesler Air Force Base Commissary after 25 years of service. She loved her job and all her coworkers and kept in touch with as many as she could after retirement. 

Mary Lou never met a stranger. She enjoyed making greeting cards at home, caring for her plants and all the critters that frequented her back yard, hosting parties, spending time with family and friends and buying gifts for others. Most of all she enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren who were the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ralph Miller, Jr. and Georgette Navarro Miller; her husband of 51 years, John George Kopp, Jr.; her sister, Donna Nowak Cook; and her brother, Joey Miller. 

Mary Lou’s survivors include her children, Kimberly Hermida, Kevin Kopp and Jonathan Kopp; her grandchildren, Mychal Ricardo Hermida, Lauryn Kopp, Logan Kopp, Alyassa Vargos, Elijah Kopp and Macyee Vargo; her sisters, Jo Ann Church, Lynda Gentry, Harriet Broussard and Jeanne Miller; and her brother, Norbert Miller. 

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to any humane society. 

Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 11:30 am. Friends may visit from 10:30 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
