Mary Landwehr, age 98, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, in Gulfport, MS.
Mary was born on June 1, 1925, to Michael and Edith Carr in Warrington, England. She survived WW2 and participated in the UK war effort. She worked for the Biloxi School System. Mary was a Saints football fan and enjoyed gardening, jitterbug, and UK sports teams. She won Garden of the Month several times and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Women’s Auxiliary.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Landwehr; parents, Michael Carr and Edith Carr (White); brothers, Bill Carr and Ted Carr; and sisters, Patricia Evans (Carr) and Paula Carr.
She is survived by her children, Corinne Evans, Earl Landwehr, Jr., Michael Landwehr, and Karl Landwehr; grandchildren, Grace Snow, Adena Clark, Jes Engel, Ryan Roberts, Caren Welling, Christopher Landwehr, Teresa Cannon, David Landwehr, Conner Landwehr, and William Landwehr; great-grandchildren, Seth Clark, Payton Clark, Isaiah Clark, Colin Snow, Tyler Snow, Cameron Snow, Rylee Engel, Colvin Engel, Andrew Welling, Elise Welling, Natalie Welling, Alexander Landwehr, Luke Landwehr, Zachary Landwehr, William Cannon, Garrett Cannon, Corah Cannon, and Mabel Cannon; great-great-grandchildren, River, Willo, Luna, Ember, and Liam; and niece, Rosemary Laxton.
The family would like to thank Our Lady of Fatima Church.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023, at The Bradford-O’Keefe Pass Road Chapel. Friends may visit one hour before. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
