Mary Lawrence Foster, 85, of D'Iberville, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in D'Iberville. Ms. Foster was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was the former owner operator of the Friendly Cab Company. She was also the former owner operator of the Flower Basket Florist from 1951 to 2000. She had many loyal customers from her Flower Basket days, that she was very grateful for. She loved all of her employees and treated each one like family. She be sadly missed by everyones lives that she touched. Ms. Foster was a member of the the V.F.W. Post #2434 Ladies Auxillary. She was an avid fisherman and bowler. She was also an accomplished artist. Ms. Foster was Queen of D'Iberville Community Club in 1960. She was also a member of other Coast Carnival Organizations. She was of the Catholic faith. Ms. Foster was a loving mother and grandmother. She touched many lives with her giving nature. Ms. Foster was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Lawrence, Sr. and Antoinette Ladnier Lawrence, her four sons, Daniel Dewey Gollott, John Wayne Gollott, Francis Ray Gollott, and Herbert E. "Dickie" Foster, Jr., her brother, Judge Dewey Lawrence, Jr., and her loving step daughter, Genevieve Smith Gunn. Survivors include her two sons, Jerry Gollott and his wife Sandra of Biloxi, and Patrick C. "Pat" Foster and companion Dorle of Saucier, her daughter, Angel Foster Clark of D'Iberville, brother, Jerry Lawrence and wife Catherine of D'Iberville, and her sister, Fern Rita Collver of Biloxi, 16 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-9 pm, Rosary 7 pm, Friday, July 21, 2006 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, Biloxi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Nativity BVM, where friends may visit one hour before mass. Interment will be in Biloxi City Cemetery.
