Mary Lou Steele Adcock, age 84, of Gulfport, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 in Gulfport. She was born in Alabama and was a life long resident of Gulfport. She was a member of Gulf Gardens Baptist Church, Gulfport. She was former member of the VFW Auxiliary and a former secretary for Gulf Gardens Baptist Church. Mrs. Adcock was preceded in death by her, husband, James B. Adcock; and a daughter, Linda Susan Adcock Smith; and her parents, David L. and Lottie Steele. She is survived by four daughters, Pamela J. Raybourn (Robert), Donna J. Russell (Larry), Carol Ann McKay (Tommy), and Lori A. Guardia all of Gulfport; a step-brother, Clifton Adcox of New Orleans, five grandsons, Kevin B. Smith, Randy R. Smith, Caleb Guardia, Faron O'Neil and Jacob Daquioag; and three great-grandchildren, Carlyle Steele Smith, Rhet Davidson Smith, and Savannah Stuart Smith. Visitation will be Monday, February 11, 2008 from 9 until 9:45 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. going to Evergreen Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. The family prefers memorials to Connected Heart Personal Care Home, 16116 Vick Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
