Mary Lou Ladnier Gartman passed away, Sunday, November 6, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport at the age of 76.
She was born in the Saucier/Lizana Community on January 28, 1929. Mary Lou attended Advance and Saucier Schools. She was a lifetime residence of Saucier and a member of the Poplarhead United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dionisus "Dione" Ladnier and Marie "Mamie" Dedeaux, her husband Donald Gartman, sisters Verlie Beaver and Alena Ladnier, and brothers Wilson, Wilmer and Wilfred Ladnier.
She is survived by five children, sons, Donnie Gartman and his wife Margo, Michael Gartman and his wife Joyce, and Jeff Gartman all of Saucier;
daughters, Sylvia and her husband Jack Bradley of Savannah, GA and Jan and her husband Doug Hester of Jackson, MS; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Bradley, Steven Bradley, Paul Hester, John Hester, Tom Gartman, and Brock Parker.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 from 6 until 8:00 PM at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road, North Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM at Poplarhead United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 10, 2005. Interment to follow at church cemetery.
