Miss. Mary Louise Lepre, 76, of D'Iberville, MS, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008, in D'Iberville. Miss. Lepre was born in Biloxi and was employed with Brumfields on Howard Avenue as a young adult. Later she and her parents moved to Houston, Texas where she pursued a career as a professional entertainer, singing and acting, in the theater. After her mother passed away she and her dad returned to Biloxi where she was employed with Bankston's Insurance until she accepted a position at Keesler Air Force Base training aids. She transferred to Keesler Medical Center and retired as supervisor of hospital admissions. Miss. Lepre was very active in the choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was a former member, until her health forced her to retire from singing. She was a member of Blessed Selos Catholic Church and the Golden Age Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leah and Peter Lepre; brother, Roy Lepre, and sister, Mildred Vincent. Survivors include two nephews, Eves Vincent, III and his wife, Mary Helen, and Melvin Vincent and his wife, Debbie, all of Biloxi; four nieces, Mary Corley and her husband, Leonard, and Marilyn Glaskox of Biloxi, Rhoda Pollard of Houston, Tx, and Sheila Burger of Atlanta, GA; and her sister-in-law, Bertha Lepre, of Atlanta, GA. She also leaves her best friends, Chancey and Prissy. Visitation is Sunday, January 27, 2008, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Recitation of Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Selos Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.
