Mary M. Durham, 84, of Biloxi, died Monday, August 3, 2009 in Biloxi. Mary was a native of Erwinville, LA and a resident of Biloxi for 40 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where she served as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and was Vice President for 15 years. Mary was a member of the Knights of Columbus #9409 Ladies Auxiliary, served as an Extraordinary Minister to the sick in hospitals and nursing homes for 7 years, was a member of the Steel Magnolias and she single handed made and embroidered Christianing bibs for 10 years. Preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Durham, brothers, Joseph Wilford Major and John Ellis Major. Survivors include her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, all of Baton Rouge, LA. Family prefers memorials to: St. Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 6, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment is in Biloxi National Cemetery.
