Mary Louise Scott

Mary Louise Scott, 96, of Saucier, MS went to be with our Lord, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  

Mary was born and raised in Lovilia, IA, and married Richard R. Scott of Albia, IA in 1947.   The Scott family moved to Twinsburg, OH in 1964, where Mary worked as a cook and then a secretary at Twinsburg High School.  In 1971, they moved to Grand Island, NY; and in 1988, they retired to Saucier, MS.   Mary and Richard were active members of Heritage United Methodist Church in D’Iberville.  Mary enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, cross stitching and making quilts for her children and grandchildren.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, and her beautiful smile. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Floyd and Ethel Henderson; her husband of 73 years, Richard; sisters, Ruth Duncan and Mildred Buckrop; and brother, William Henderson.   

Mary is survived by her daughters, Donna (Richard) Ingalls of Holiday, FL and Rita (Casey) Russin of Twinsburg, OH; sons, Paul (Trish) Scott of Brookpark, OH and Bruce (Susan) Scott of Saucier, MS; brother, Donald Henderson of Grinnell, IA; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Heritage United Methodist Church, 4322 Popp’s Ferry Rd., D’Iberville, MS 39540. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Heritage United Methodist Church.   Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
