Mary Skrmetta

Mary Skrmetta, 85, of Biloxi passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in D'Iberville. Mary retired as a book-keeper and office manager of the Ship Island Excursions and Jackie's Souvenirs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Louvinia Skrmetta; sisters, Perina Skrmetta Bills and Catherine Skrmetta Schwark and brother Jimmy Skrmetta. She is survived by her brother Pete M. Skrmetta; sisters, Manda Skrmetta Langlinais, Genevieve Skrmetta Creel, Dorthy Skrmetta and many nieces and nephews known to them as "Aunt Mary". A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. till service time. Interment will follow at the Biloxi City Cemetery. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Greenbriar Nursing Center and Odyssey Hospice for all their loving care.
