Mary Velma Sanderson

Mary Velma Sanderson, 66, of D'Iberville, MS died on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Ms Sanderson was a native of Lucedale, MS. She was a homemaker and she loved floral arranging. Ms Sanderson loved sports and was an avid Saints fan. But most of all she enjoyed her family and was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith. Ms Sanderson is preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Gertrude Adams Sanderson; former husbands, Ralph Kirkland and Charles Dodson. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Burton of Ocean Springs and Leann (Sean) Loper of Biloxi; son, Sidney Kirkland of Latimer and David (Sharina) Kirkland also of Biloxi; sisters, Bonnie (Buster) Scott of D'Iberville and Julia Corser of Germany; brothers, Debert Adams of Lucedale and Lloyd (Faye) Sanderson of West Monroe, LA and nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi
