Mary Ann Walsh

Mary Ann Walsh, age 73 of Newton, MS passed away on February 5, 2023.

She was a very strong willed woman, whose life was lived around her children and grandchildren. You couldn’t ask for a better person, friend, and especially mother. Her heart was big and her life was meaningful. She will be greatly missed

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Walsh, Sr.; father, Clifton Tip Cowans; mother, Alice Irne Fulton; brothers, Richard W. Cowans, James W. Cowans, Clifton O. Cowans, and Donald Eugene Cowans; sisters, Doris M. Carter and Patricia A. Cowans; granddaughter, Courtney Leighann Hood; and great-granddaughter, Marleigh Walsh.

She is survived by her children, Johnny L. Walsh, Jr., Christopher Keith Walsh, Teresa Ann (Jerry) Newsome, Heather Denise Walsh, Lauri Ann Walsh, Anthony Walsh, Adam Delano Walsh, Alice Rendy Walsh, and Cassie Leigh (Lance Tootle) Walsh; brother, Roy Cowans and Jerry Cowans; 32 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 9AM until 11AM at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Vancleave, MS.
