Matilde A. Hess

Matilde A. Hess, 68, of Biloxi, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospice in Gulfport. Matilde was born July 21, 1949 in Brindisi, Italy. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, and serving others. Matilde was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. Hess and mother, Dora Carrozzo. She is survived by her son, Samuel B. (Kristen) Hess; daughter, Dora D. (James) Kettley; grandchildren, Asia, Anissa, Lavance, Caleb, Ann, and Jacob; great-grandchild, Messiah; and sister, Rosanna Carrozzo. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531 on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe is in charge of arrangements. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
