Maxine Breland Anderson, 75, of Saucier, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 16, 2011. She was born January 16, 1936 in Midnight, MS and grew up in Sanford, MS. Maxine retired from Bell South in Gulfport in 1988, having worked with the company for 26 years. She was a member of Campground Baptist Church, Gulfport. Maxine was an avid gardener, and enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Callie Breland; and two brothers, A.J. Breland and Robert Breland.
Maxine loved her family very much. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Paul M. Anderson; her children, Patsy Anderson, Larry Anderson, Lorie Anderson, Gary Anderson, and Tammy Anderson Burke; grandchildren, Dan Peters, Jesse Hinojosa, Tori Anderson, Lindsey Anderson, and Tyler Anderson Burke; sisters, Lucille Mooney, Molly Brewer; and brother, Jerry Breland.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.
