Maxine D. Taliancich Comeaux, 85, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Ocean Springs, MS. A lifelong resident of Biloxi, MS, she was born on October 27, 1937. She attended Sacred Heart Academy in Biloxi, MS. She was employed for over 20 years on Keesler Air Force Base where she retired from AAFES.
Maxine was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was caring, at times sassy, and lovingly known as “Foxi Maxi.” A lady full of life, she never took a single day she was given for granted. She always knew how to make those around her feel loved, and she could brighten anyone’s day. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to the casinos, playing cards, dancing, and shopping. Maxine was a member of the Slavonian Ladies Auxiliary and the French Club (Fleur-de-lis Ladies).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Comeaux; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Taliancich; her brothers, George and Richard Taliancich; and son-in-law, Darrell Bailey.
Maxine’s survivors include her four daughters, Valerie (Richie) Martino, Helen (Michael) Fayard, Beth Bailey and Lana (Keith) Richard; her grandchildren, Travis (Lindsay) Martino, Brandi Martino, Matt (Barbara) Creel, Lacey (Justin) Dulaney, Clint (Hunter) Ganus, Christie Bailey Ellzey, Brandon (Katie) Bailey, Keith Richard Jr. and Aaron (Mary) Richard; and her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Karsen and Blake Ellzey, Melodee and Miles Johnson, Lilly and Emmie Richard, Oliver and Finley Richard and Ace Bailey.
Maxine will be greatly missed, and her memories will be cherished and kept alive in our hearts forever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Biloxi, MS on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:30 am. Friends may visit from 9:30 until Mass time. A graveside service will follow at the Biloxi City Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Slavonian Lodge immediately following.
