Melvin L. Braswell

Melvin L. Braswell, 66, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on September 1, 2019. He was born in Aberdeen, WA and was a graduate of Pascagoula High School and Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College. He was employed as a store manager for 7 Eleven and Circle K for 37 years. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Braswell and Dorothy Cummins Braswell; a brother, Dwight C. Braswell; and a niece, Christy Braswell Coyne. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Braswell Bybee; two nephews, Dwight R. Braswell and Travis (Richelle) Bybee; one niece, Amanda Bybee; five great-nephews and nieces, Dustin, Juliet, Reid, Edie, and Baby Boy Bybee (December, 2019); and his loyal dog and best friend, Rockey. Visitation will be from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm with a service to follow all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, September 6, 2019. A graveside service will be held at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in French Camp, MS at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2019.
