Melvin James Ott, Sr.

Melvin James Ott, Sr., 70, of Ocean Springs, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Ott was a resident of Ocean Springs for the past forty years. He was a proud retiree of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Ott loved his dogs, motorcycle riding, fishing, traveling and his family. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Ott is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joan Ott; his daughter, Debra Ott; and his two brothers. Survivors include his daughters, Devon Rouse of Ocean Springs and Tammy (Andrew) Gaser of Galena, OH; his son, Melvin Ott, Jr. of Ocean Springs; his five grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
