Melvyn E. Page, age 62, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Gulfport. He was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport. He was a graduate of Gulfport East High School where he ran track and played football. He was Baptist and was the former custodian at First United Methodist Church.
His hobbies included dancing, music, walk-a-thons, playing spades and dominos. He enjoyed all sports and was very supportive of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna Page, three sons, Bryant Lavender (Jasmine), Marques Lavender (Lena), and Za’ Cari Lavender (Nissa); three sisters, Debra Gibbs (Robert), Felecia Harvey (Travell) and Vickki Newell (Yohan); a brother, Terrance “Joe” Womble (Rhetta); three grandchildren, Ja’ Monte, Ja’Mya, Ja’Mari.
