Mercedes "Dee" James

Mrs. Mercedes "Dee" James, 82, of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, March 14, 2008, in Biloxi. Mrs. James was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a graduate of Biloxi High School and member of Nativity B.V.M. Parrish. She owned and operated Marion's News Stand from 1964 until its loss from Hurricane Katrina. Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. "Eddie" James, Jr., and her son, Edward L. "Buddy" James, III. She is survived by her son, Charles F. James of Biloxi. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 9:30 until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
