Michael William Allen

Michael William Allen, 59, of Ocean Springs, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013. Born December 24, 1953, Mr. Allen was a resident of Ocean Springs for 36 years. During this time, he worked in carpentry and construction and was active in the Ocean Springs Volunteer Fire Department. In 1989, Mr. Allen moved to South Carolina and lived there for 10 years before building his dream home, a log cabin, in the mountains of North Carolina. After 13 years of residing in North Carolina, Mr. Allen came back home to live in Ocean Springs. Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Leonard Allen, Sr. and Geraldine Austin Allen, and his sister, Brenda Foster Schwegmann. Mr. Allen is survived by his daughters, Yvette (Tim) Kenneson of Gautier and Shawnette (Jason) Davidson of Ocean Springs; his son, Aaron Allen of Ocean Springs; his sister, Mary Margaret “Maggie” (Greg) Cassidy of Ocean Springs; his brother, Curtis Leonard Allen, Jr. of Ocean Springs; and his grandchildren, Anthony and Mollie Davidson of Ocean Springs. Mr. Allen is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A private family memorial has been held. A special thank you goes out to Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Allen.
