Michael Allen Haig

Michael Allen Haig, 43, of Vancleave, MS died on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Mr. Haig was born in Austin, TX, a former resident of Ironwood, MI and had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for over 26 years. He was employed as a shipfitter and welder for Austal USA in Mobile, AL. Mr. Haig also served in the Army Air Guard. He is survived by his companion, Leala Taunton of Vancleave, MS; daughter, Emily Anne Haig of Gulfport, MS; son, Stephen Byars Haig also of Gulfport; parents, Don and JonQuill Haig of Ironwood, MI; sister, Jody Gregoire of Haywood, WI and many lifelong friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Biloxi, MS. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi.
