Michael Alan Butler, 24, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Biloxi.
Michael was a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a 2010 graduate of D’Iberville High School and was employed with South Tire Mart in Biloxi. Michael participated in many sports; he especially liked soccer, cross country and track. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud riding and auto mechanics. Michael had a charismatic personality as well as a contagious laugh and a million dollar smile. Michael was a selfless person, always putting other’s needs before his own. He is greatly loved and will be deeply missed by family and many special friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence Broadhead; his great-grandparents, Evelyn Sumrall Smith, Herman Savell, Wesley Sikes and Rachel Scarborough; and his uncle, Jeremiah Smith.
Michael’s survivors include his parents, Patricia (Scott) Yennie and Jeffery Alan (Toye) Butler; his brother, Nathan Yennie; his beloved fiancé, Heather Irene Wendling; his step-sisters, Jessica, Candice and Terri Goff; his grandparents, Regina Evans, Andy Smith and Pat and Joanne Butler; his great-grandmother, Jessie Savell; his aunts and uncles, Angela (Michael) Roberts, Rachael Evans, Joseph Smith, Shane Smith, Savannah Thomas, Kevin (Staci) Butler and Debbie Butler; his cousins, Harley and Stephen Roberts, Jesse and Georgia Grace Butler and numerous others; his future mother and father-in-law, Christina and Matt Wendling; his future sister-in-law, Ashley (Rick) Burdine; and his dogs, Bo and Stella.
Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00pm. Friends may visit from 11:00am until service time. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
