Michael J. Bever

Michael James Bever, Surveillance QA Supervisor of Supship Gulf Coast in Pascagoula, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2007 in Pascagoula at the age of 50. The fourth and youngest child of Tom and Mary Bever, he was born April 23, 1957 in Cumberland, MD. At 18, he joined the United States Air Force; Mike was stationed at Keesler AFB and loved the Gulf Coast area so much that after retiring here he made Ocean Springs his permanent home. Mike, an avid golfer, was an officer of the Gulf Hills Men's Club and enjoyed participating in tournaments year-long. His passion for the sport and Gulf Hills Golf Course led him to have a pavilion built at the course in his honor. His family and friends will best remember his optimism, generosity and enthusiasm through his repeated expression, "I'm lovin' life and livin' the dream." Proceeded in death by his parents, Michael is survived by brothers, Richard Bever and his wife Cheri of Berkeley Springs, WV, Alvin Bever and his wife Joannie of Lakeworth, FL; sister, Krista Ann Ecker and her husband Bruce of Middletown, MD; one niece Ashley Bever, one nephew, Andy Ecker, two god-daughters, Kylie Renee Keels of Ocean Springs, Kristine Marie Eldridge of Moss Point and his trusted loyal friend Montana. Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, where friends may visit two hours prior. He will be laid to rest in the Bever Family Cemetery in Swanton, MD.
