Michael Joseph Eick, Sr.

MSgt. Michael J. Eick, Sr., USAF Retired, 82, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009, in Ocean Springs. MSgt. Eick had been a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 35 years. He served in the U. S. Air Force 22 years in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Conflict. He was a Bronze Star Recipient. He also retired from Civil Service where he taught electronics at Keelser AFB for 15 years. He was a devout Catholic. MSgt. Eick is survived by his wife, Lorraine Eick of Ocean Springs; sons, Michael J. (Judy) Eick, Jr. of D'Iberville, and Steve (Rhonda) Eick of Ellisville, MS; brothers, Jimmy Eick and Andy Eick of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Brandon Eick and Kelsie Eick. A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in chage of services.
