Michael "Mike" Prosser, 69, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away after a nearly five-year battle with and bringing awareness to, the terrible disease ALS on January 24, 2024.

Mike was born on November 14, 1954 to Arthur and Marjorie Prosser in California.

Mike filled his life with three amazing career. He began his journey by proudly serving 20 years in the United States Air Force (Security Police) and spending several years overseas. He then changed directions, went back to school, eventually earning his Master's Degree and becoming one of the most loved and respected teachers and principal in Colorado (alias "Mr. P"). He sincerely changed lives. After his second retirement, he then moved onto yet another entirely different career path, becoming the "Front of House Director" at one of the largest Performing Arts Centers in the country in Denver, CO. He sincerely loved all three careers and was passionate about all he had done. Alas, it was actually time to FINALLY retire.

At which time he followed his "Mississippi Honey," as he referred to her, down to the Gulf Coast, where he resided until his passing. Not before, even in the face of diversity and challenges, filling his days with so many amazing memories with a vast array of very special people who became known to him and others as #TEAMMIKE. There were many, and all meant the world to him.

Mike's favorite things definitely will always start with family and friends. People were his everything. He would do anything to help anyone, even a stranger, a true "Angel" amongst us. Anyone blessed enough to know him were better people because of it.

In his free time he loved sports. You'd find him playing or watching it. He loved being on the golf course, but when it was time for "Dodger baseball," you better get comfortable... And "Go RAMS!"

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Hall.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shay Hartley; father, Arthur Prosser (Jo Ann); five children, Jeromy Prosser (Jackie), Kelle Prosser-Puttroff (Mitch), Angela Seifert (Alex), Alecia Morgan-Cross (Colin), and Cassandra Evans (Robert); ten grandchildren, Aiden, Davian, Lillian, Lincoln, Jameson, Arianna, Mackenzie, Elijah, Brecken, and Adelie; and three siblings, Danny Prosser, Kerry Prosser (Carla), and J.P. Hall.
