Michael Roy Mathis

Michael Roy Mathis, 54, of Biloxi, MS died on Sunday, July 31, 2011. Mr. Mathis was a registered nurse and was a devout Catholic. He loved Nativity BVM Cathedral. He cherished and adored his granddaughter, McKinzy. Mr. Mathis is preceded in death by his parents, Prentiss and Lille Mathis. He is survived by his life partner, Bill Lawson; sons, Michael Brandon Mathis, Dustin Allen Mathis, Shawn Sims; brothers, Tommy Mathis, Wayne Mathis, John Mathis; grandchildren, Christopher Fertessi, Mariska Mathis, Alexis, Mathis and McKinzy Mathis. A memorial mass will be on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Cathedral. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
