Michael W. Soljan, 78, of Biloxi, MS passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022. Michael was born October 8, 1943 to Mato and Mary Soljan.
Michael received a drafting degree from MGCCC-Jeff Davis Campus. He worked in the engineering field at Northrup Grumman and retired after 34 years. He was in the National Guard and received medals for his bravery during Hurricane Camille. Michael was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and in his free time, he enjoyed coaching little league baseball and girls’ softball. He also had a lifelong love/hate relationship with golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mato and Mary Soljan; his loving wife, Darnell Ann Soljan; and by his siblings, Selima Castle, Marie Sullivan, Toni Willis, Delores West, and Raymond Soljan.
Survivors include his children, Scott Soljan and DeeDee Hooker; grandchildren, Sami Soljan, Carson Hooker, and Blake Hooker; and his beloved Yorkie, Sophie.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Southern Memorial Park. Friends and Family are invited to visit on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
