Michael Wayne Kiernan

Michael Wayne Kiernan, 43 of Vancleave, died Friday, May 1, 2009 in Vancleave. Michael was raised in Ocean Springs. He had lived in Vancleave since 1999 and was of the Baptist faith. Michael coached Pee Wee Football and Girls Softball for several years. He was involved in several volunteer organizations in the Vancleave Community. Preceded in death by his daughter, Shae Kiernan, paternal grandparents, George and Carolyn Kiernan, maternal grandparents, Robert "Bob" and Bertha Hollar. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Keren Morrell of Vancleave, daughters, Angie Morrell of Vancleave, Ashley Kiernan of Savannah, GA, son, Bubba Kiernan of Vancleave, grandson, Brody Platt, sister, Terri Kiernan Cannette of Ocean Springs, brother, Robert Kiernan, Jr. of Vancleave, parents, Robert W. Kiernan, Sr. of Vancleave, Betty J. McKinney of Ocean Springs, nieces, Brittany Kiernan, Chelby Cannette and nephew, Austin Cannette. Service will be Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Homes where friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment is in Antioch Cemetery.
