Mildred Demoruelle Jackson

Miss Mildred Demoruelle Jackson, 79 of Ocean Springs passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 due to complications of pneumonia.

Miss Jackson, a native of Biloxi and a long- time resident of Ocean Springs, was a proud business owner of Guaranteed Plumbing Service since 1972. She was known as “Millie” by her family, friends, and business associates. Millie enjoyed walking with friends, gardening, and shopping vintage markets. Any day of the week, you could find her sitting her office desk working on plumbing paperwork with the television on the news or one of her favorite shows. She would stop whatever she was doing to greet you with a smile and great interest in your conversations. Her strength thrived through her excellent business skills and ability to run a company while working as a casino dealer for over twenty years. She was a pillar in the Ocean Springs Community, contributed to many charitable organizations, and supported local schools. Her biggest accomplishment was raising her two sons. She loved and supported her family. She was a true blessing to all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her two sons, Shane (Diane) Jackson of Ocean Springs and Heath (Heather) Jackson of Ocean Springs; three grandchildren, Forrest Jackson, Reid Jackson, and Melanie Chance; two sisters, Lorna Gay (Arlin) Richard and Fern (Jerry) Carriere; and brother, Butch Demoruelle.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior.
