Mildred Louise Adams Peterson

Mildred Louise Peterson, 96, of Biloxi, died on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Mildred was an active Girl Scout Leader and a PTA Leader. She was the original founder of the Pink Ladies at Biloxi Memorial Hospital. She also served on the State Board of Cosmetology for Mississippi. Mildred owned ans operatedthe Buena Vista beauty Salon and house of Beauty in Biloxi. She will also be remembered as a caring humitarian. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Hugo John Peterson. Survivors include: her daughter, Cheryl Thomson (Timothy) of Columbus, MS; one sister, Eleanor A. Rogers of Biloxi; one brother, Bill Adams of Baton Rouge, LA; and two grandaughters, Sarah Thomson of Mesa, AZ and Shawn Thomson of Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
