Mildred Pearl Scarborough

Mildred Pearl Scarborough, 99, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018. Mrs. Scarborough was born in Paxton, NE and moved to Biloxi in 1926. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Shafer; her husband, Leon Scarborough; her son, Leon Keith Scarborough, Sr.; her daughter-in-law, Amelia Scarborough; her grandchildren, Terry Lynn Wallace, Randall Wallace and Susan Darlene Scarborough; and her great-grandchildren, Frank Edward Scarborough, Cole Brewer and William Ross Cote. Mrs. Scarborough’s survivors include her daughters, Janet Kay (Lester) Shows of Helena, MS, Linda Jean (Jimmy) Wallace of Biloxi, MS and Joan Gail (Ross) Bertucci of Biloxi, MS; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to one’s favorite charity. Funeral Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
